eTravelBlackboard: Sabre focuses on customer satisfaction
Turism&Travel Servicing over 380 companies worldwide, including airports and airlines, Sabre Airline Solutions (SAS) are targeting ways to improve customer gratification.

In an exclusive interview with e-Travel Blackboard, SAS president, Hugh Jones provided a detailed insight into the advancements and provisions that make up Sabre Solutions’ products. “Airlines today can’t operate without automated operational technology. “Technology is an enabler to improve the operation of the airline and customer experience,” Mr Jones told eTBnews. Customer satisfaction is a high priority for SAS, as it is for airlines and airports. According to Mr Jones, “Every significant airline in the world is using a Sabre solution.” “It’s not just a reservation system or departure control system; it’s much broader than that. We provide almost everything an airline needs to operate.” In November of 2011, SAS and Virgin Australia partnered and adopted the SabreSonic Customer Sales and Services (CSS) system. “We’ve been working and had good success with Virgin airlines for ten years now and as one of Australia’s leading, innovative airlines, we wanted to work on expanding both company’s portfolios,” Mr Jones said. Mr Jones stressed that for airlines and airports to service customers in a cost-effective, strategic and professional manner, research and time must be invested and Sabre systems do this for them. “Being able to service your client at each of the customer touch-points; whether it’s an automated point such as mobile, or a manned station such as the boarding gate is important and we’ve created solutions that allow airlines and airports to mine, add and adjust customer data, in a real-time fashion,” Mr Jones said. In a forward moving travel landscape, technology plays an integral and essential role in meeting the needs and requests of passengers. “Traveller’s expectations are changing radically and the airline industry is trying to catch up to these growing needs and desires. Our platform helps airlines to adapt as there is tremendous room for improvement, especially for airports,” Mr Jones said.
