Alice Springs is stepping into the spotlight of Government funding with the destination selected as the next focus of the $1.
4 million Red Centre digital marketing campaign.
Commencing from 15 April and running until the 12 May, the campaign will spiral images of local attractions and personalities to increasing awareness and visitor numbers into the region.
Tourism Minister Malarndirri McCarthy explained the campaign is running during a period where the Northern Territory and the marketing plan have received positive feedback and generating strong awareness.
According to the local Government, digital advertising has received up to 43,000 clicks since the campaign launched and up to 32.2 percent of interstate travellers are aware of the digital pictures compared to 26.9 percent last year.
There is a lot to see and do in and around Alice Springs being so close to some of the worlds best parks and reserves and the locally produced art is highly sought after by interstate and international visitors, Minister for Central Australia Karl Hampton added.
A further highlight for Alice Springs is on business events as well as tourism.
