eTravelBlackboard: Sydney unveils Delhi partnership
   Tipărire
Turism&Travel Days after Melbourne and Chengdu airports announced a new sister-ship, Sydney and Delhi airports said they had signed a new strategic partnership to strengthen Australian and Indian tourism ties.

As the single largest market not served by direct services, Sydney Airport chief executive Kerrie Mather said the partnership would help both regions achieve a common objective to grow the market. According to airport statistics, Sydney is the gateway for Indian travellers with up to 40 percent passing through the airport, a figure that is support by the 44 percent of Australian resident with Indian ancestry, the airport’s head explained. Ms Mathers added that the new agreement would also tie into the airport’s partnership with Beijing Airport signed last year. “Together with our partnership with Beijing Airport, our ties with Delhi Airport mean that we now have strong strategic alliances with two of Australia’s key emerging growth markets for inbound travel,” the airport’s head said.
