In a bid to boost more domestic trips to indigenous parts of Aus, Tourism Australia has launched a new trade website to update and inform agents, wholesaler and tour operators of the products and experiences behind Indigenous Tourism Champions.
Unveiled this week, Aboriginaltourism.australia.com includes information on attractions, accommodation, festivals and art centres revolving around Australias indigenous people to help trade plan and book authentic experiences.
Tourism Australia Indigenous Tourism Advisory Panel chairman Aden Ridgeway said the website will be an invaluable resource for the industry and will play a role in improving awareness and perceptions among consumers.
At the end of the day, we want to stimulate greater demand for Indigenous experiences in Australia, and the new website will help us to do that by making it easier to include Indigenous experiences as a must do component of Australian itineraries, Mr Ridgeway explained.
As well as offering information, the website is also designed to help trade with pricing, how to book and where to go.
It also features sample itineraries and an image gallery to show clients and travellers.
