- JetBlue Airways today celebrates inaugural service to its 71st destination and the third destination served in the Lone Star State: Dallas/Fort Worth.
Boston's largest carrier now offers three daily flights between Logan International Airport (BOS) and Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). JetBlue now serves 44 nonstop destinations out of Boston to points all over the carrier's growing network.
"Today is a special day for JetBlue as we launch new service to this very important and popular destination for both business and leisure travelers," said JetBlue's Vice President of Sales and Revenue Management Dennis Corrigan. "We look forward to connecting our Boston customers with their loved ones and to this major center of commerce and to introducing the people of Dallas/Fort Worth to our iconic brand including free first checked bag, comfy leather seats with room to stretch out, unlimited free snacks and excellence in customer service."
"We are honored and pleased to celebrate the arrival of JetBlue at DFW," said Jeff Fegan, CEO of DFW International Airport. "JetBlue offers passengers outstanding service and great fares, and we're confident JetBlue will present a compelling choice for our customers."
The airline's convenient service between Boston and Dallas/Fort Worth offers optimal schedules for business and leisure travel. Customers flying into Boston can also connect easily to points across JetBlue's network in the Northeast including Buffalo, NY, New York City (JFK and Newark), Washington D.C. (Reagan National and Dulles), as well as connections to partners, including Cape Cod and the islands via Cape Air and Aer Lingus to Dublin.
"JetBlue's arrival at DFW is a testament to the strong economy in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and our great airport is a key to that strength," said Fort Worth Mayor Betsy Price. "We have a lot to offer in Fort Worth, and we're confident that this important commitment by JetBlue will greatly enhance business and leisure opportunities for those who live, work and travel to our city and our region."
"New air service growth is a major economic driver for North Texas and we're very pleased to welcome JetBlue with its high level of service to the Dallas/Fort Worth region," said Dallas Mayor Mike Rawlings. "The citizens of Dallas will benefit from having JetBlue serve DFW Airport, not just in terms of flights but in terms of jobs and new spending in our city and our region."
