ESTES PARK, Colo.
- The 4th of July is about celebrating independence, patriotism, and the men and women who continue to make this possible. YMCA of the Rockies is proud to support our military men and women by offering the Military Getaway Package at both of their Colorado vacation destinations. For $149, active duty military and their families can enjoy two-nights in hotel-style lodging, meals for up to four, and tons of activities at the 860-acre Estes Park Center or 5,100-acre Snow Mountain Ranch. Over 4th of July and throughout the summer, guests can join in campfires, canoeing, fishing, guided hikes, arts and crafts, archery, mini golf, and more. Servicemen and women can also benefit from free entrance to nearby Rocky Mountain National Park. As part of their mission to help military families enjoy time together in the mountains, YMCA of the Rockies has a new summer fundraiser: Mission 623. The goal is to subsidize 10% more military families in 2012, bringing this total to 623 families. Members of the military and their families staying at the Estes Park Center over Independence Day are invited to join the âthe shortest, but most enthusiastic 4th of July parade in America,â walking alongside a special Mission 623 float. Lodge rooms are currently still available at both properties- but not for long. Learn more about Mission 623 and YMCA of the Rockies' Military Getaway Package at www.mission623.org.
