Qantas Airways has partnered with TravelManagers to provide two exclusive familiarisation opportunities within the home-based consultancy sector for its personal travel managers, featuring travel in its new A380 aircraft. TravelManagers executive general manager, Mandy Scotney says TravelManagers will have10 seats to Singapore for a destination educational in conjunction with Qantas Holidays and Singapore Tourism Promotion Board and a further 10 seats have been allocated for a famil to Los Angeles in conjunction with California Tourism Commission and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
TravelManagers has a very strong relationship with Qantas Airways, which we value immensely. These two Qantas A380 exclusive famil trips are TravelManagers second and third this year, our first being an exclusive educational to India with Total Holiday Options. As a result of the superior preferred supplier relationships we have, the educational possibilities are first rate for our personal travel managers.
The first of the A380 exclusive educationals departed 24 May for five nights and arrived back in Australia on 30 May.
In order to be eligible to join this educational, our personal travel managers had to complete a specialist destination questionnaire. There is also a sales component and the personal travel managers Qantas Airways sales figures have been assessed from 1 January to 30 April. Those personal travel managers who have been supporting Qantas Airways will receive selection priority.
Scotney says suppliers appreciate the focus TravelManagers places on up-skilling their personal travel managers about that suppliers product and supporting sales figures.
As far as TravelManagers is concerned it is vital that our personal travel managers make a commitment to learn more and demonstrate their knowledge about that suppliers offering and support it through sales, in order to be given a place on an exclusive famil. There must be a win-win for all parties. As a result of our approach we are finding suppliers are very keen to partner with us and provide exclusive opportunities, like this A380 one with Qantas.
A similar approach and criteria is being applied to the two week A380 Los Angeles familiarisation trip in September with each personal travel manager only being eligible to qualify for one of these two educationals.
