eTravelBlackboard: MAS unveils A380 plans to Sydney
Turism&Travel         The Malaysian carrier has announced it will launch its new A380 aircraft on flights between Sydney and Kuala Lumpur from 26 November this year.

With a capacity of up to 494 seats the airline said the aircraft will be utilised daily, departing from Sydney at 3.40pm and arriving into Kuala Lumpur at 8.50pm and flying inbound from Kuala Lumpur at 10.40pm and arriving into Sydney at 9.34am the next day. Malaysia Airlines regional senior vice president Australia, New Zealand and South West Pacific Yap Kiang Thiam said the carrier’s decision to fly the new aircraft to Australia signified its commitment to the local market. “Customers will enjoy more than 1000 extra seats per week with the introduction of the A380,” he added. The A380 will include a three-class configuration of eight first class seats, 350 economy seats in the main deck, 70 economy class seats on the upper deck and 66 business class seats. The aircraft is the carrier’s second A380 after unveiling its flagship aircraft in June this year. Source = e-Travel Blackboard: N.J
