TravelManagers Chief Executive, Joe Araullo is one of the industry leaders participating in one of the panel discussions at the TRAVELtech 2012 Conference.
The topic is Agency Evolution and other panel participants include Georg Ruebensal, Managing Director of Expedia Australia and Tom Manwarring, CEO of Orient Express Travel Group. Araullo says TravelManagers presence on the panel is recognition of the rapid and effective growth of the personal travel manager business model amongst consumers and its importance for the distribution of travel product in an industry that is evolving almost as quickly as new or enhanced technology is being introduced.
“As an industry Travel has evolved dramatically in the past five years and the personal travel manager model is fast being recognized as a highly successful way to transact travel. It’s low cost, highly mobile and client focused approach has led to it now being seen as the one-stop-shop for the discerning traveler.”
Araullo says he was thrilled for his company’s 360 plus personal travel managers when asked to participate and felt the panel provided a reasonable cross-section of what’s new in travel industry offerings.
“I’m looking forward to the day, similarly to Expedia and the Orient Express Travel Group, TravelManagers is seen as leading-edge in our field. Our strong results from both partner suppliers’ and personal travel managers’ perspectives are a direct correlation to the high quality of our personal travel managers and the standard of service they provide their clients. I have an immense amount of respect for both organisations and am looking forward to the discussion.”
Araullo says the evolution of TravelManagers has been driven by technology.
“Our systems are powered by the internet and together with a highly personalized service which is focused on value for money and taking the unknown and the risk out of our clients’ travel arrangements is the cornerstone of our customer proposition. Being able to offer a personal service for both complex and simple travel components means TravelManagers is able to deliver an outcome for a client which is specifically tailored to their individual requirements.”
Araullo says TravelManagers is a “must check” for any traditional consultant looking to become self-employed and improve their income and work/life balance.
“With our purpose built technology for the Australian travel market, our personal travel managers are mobile and fully resourced. Their online virtual office gives them full 24/7/365 access to airline, hotel, cruise and touring inventory and pricing, together with information on visa and health requirements, overseas travel warnings and up-to-date currency exchange rates. Plus of course they can work when and where they want.”
The conference is being held on Friday 7 September at the Amora Jamison Hotel in Sydney.
