Mesa Verde Country Hosts 14th Annual Harvest Beer Festival
-Beer, bands, and bids to benefit Montezuma Land Conservancy on Sept.
Cortez, Colo. (Aug. 23, 2012) â The city of Cortez in Mesa Verde Country® invites visitors to attend the 14th Annual Beer Festival, Sept. 8. It's a home-grown celebration of local beers to benefit the Montezuma Land Conservancy.
The fun takes place at Parque de Vida in Cortez from 4-9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8. Beers from outstanding local microbreweries will be on tap, accompanied by wood-fired pizza, fish tacos, and lots of other tasty choices. The music will be local, too, featuring Durango band Jack 10 High and singer-songwriter Katya Chorover. The kids can enjoy games and face painting while the adults browse the extensive silent auction that will include works by local artists, sporting goods, household items, and more.
Once again this year, festival-goers can take advantage of free transportation to and from the park from the towns of Dolores and Mancos. Admission to the 14th Annual Harvest Beer Festival is $25 with beer tasting (or $15 for non-drinkers); children 15 and under are free with a paid adult. Food is priced separately. Tickets are available at the door or online at harvestbeerfestival.com. Additional information is available by calling 970-565-1664.
Founded in 1998, the Montezuma Land Conservancy works to permanently protect important open lands in partnership with landowners in order to conserve agricultural, natural, and scenic open space resources in and around Montezuma and Dolores Counties.
