Tourism Western Australia has developed a new brand and advertising campaign for its capital in order to drive a reappraisal of Perth as a holiday destination, according to Tourism Minister Kim Hames.
The campaign has been designed to attract more visitors to Perth and reflect the citys vivacity.
The new brand builds on Perths natural beauty and enviable climate and communicates that this is a vibrant, modern, welcoming and diverse city, Dr Hames said.
The advertising campaign has been created to inform both international and domestic travellers of Perth.
Research tells us that residents of other Australian States are largely unaware of these changes, Dr Hames said.
Promotion of the new campaign will include a mix of cinema advertising, social media marketing, digital advertising, e-mail distribution, search engine marketing and public relations activities.
Tourism Western Australia has also produced a 60-second cinema film for the project.
The new Perth brand sits under, and is supported by, Tourism WAs master brand Experience Extraordinary, which promotes the State as a whole, Dr Hames said.
