Peter Kollar joins travel agents at Cruise3Sixty 2012
An ever-increasing number of travel agents are signing up to the International Cruise Council of Australasias (ICCA) revamped training program ahead of the summer cruise season.
Since appointing training and development manager Peter Kollar in February, the ICCA has incorporated eight new or redeveloped modules which have been implemented across Australia and New Zealand.
Almost 1,000 new slides have been included as part of the new program which also incorporates strong port content supported by Mr Kollars extensive background as shore excursions manager for Crystal Cruises.
Were trying to make the training as relevant as possible for agents who are dealing with more customer enquiries than ever as demand for cruise holidays surges, Mr Kollar said.
Ninety percent of participants have given the training sessions the highest possible rating with many accredited agents returning to update their knowledge.
For well-trained agents to take time out of their day and make further learning a priority takes a strong level of commitment and to see them walk away with high levels of satisfaction is a great result, Mr Kollar said.
