Hepburns actions are now forbidden, says Romes City Council
In what has been dubbed the war against the sandwich, Rome city council has outlawed snacking near the Eternal Citys historic centre.
Those caught eating or drinking in zones which have a particular historic or architectural value will be slapped with fines ranging from 25 to 500, the UKs Daily Telegraph reported.
Residents of the historic centre hope to re-educate people about how to behave in this city, a resident association spokesperson told the paper.
"At the moment people can do anything they like in this city," they said.
Other campaigners reportedly want to further outlaw pub crawls popular with foreign tourists.
