Turism&Travel North Vancouver, British Columbia – The Tourism Industry Association of Canada (TIAC) has honoured Capilano Suspension Bridge Park with the Air Canada Business of the Year Award at the 2012 Canadian Tourism Awards, presented by The Toronto Star and Visa Canada.

Capilano Suspension Bridge Park was honoured at a gala ceremony at the Hilton Lac Leamy in Gatineau on November 20, 2012 as part of the Tourism Congress, TIAC's annual convention. “To be recognized nationally for our efforts is a great honour, and we thank TIAC for this recognition and Air Canada for sponsoring this award” said Nancy Stibbard, owner & CEO for Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. “Our business is tourism and we believe strongly in building unique and innovative tourism experiences that people are amazed by.” The Canadian Tourism Awards are presented annually by TIAC to recognize success, leadership and innovation in Canada's tourism industry, and to reward those people, places, organizations and events that have gone above and beyond to offer travellers superior tourism experiences in Canada. In total, 12 businesses from across Canada were recognized. In addition to this award in 2012, Capilano Suspension Bridge Park also won the BC Chapter of American Marketing Association's “2012 Marketer of the Year” award, as well as the Consulting Engineers of British Columbia's Award of Excellence for technical and innovative engineering with regards to CLIFFWALK.
