2016 Turtle Season March to October
The Nature Island is getting ready to welcome visitors for the start of the annual sea turtle season. Beginning in March, visitors arrive from around the world to witness sea turtles as they come ashore to lay their eggs. Hatching can begin as early as June and take place into October. Dominica's sea turtle conservation initiatives have been cited by Ethical Traveler in its recognition of the island as a top ethical destination.
Visitors are invited to assist in patrolling the beach and helping the turtle team collect data. Rosalie Bay Resort is once again offering its Guaranteed Sea Turtle Package.
